Image and text - Task 17

To present my work for task 6 - student life, i presented my images as a slideshow using a program called encore. These are the steps for the test webpage. I followed these screenshots to make the actual webpage.
First i started off in photo shop creating a new white layer, which then i put a background picture onto there. I used rules as a guidline of where to put everything.
Then i added text to the image and added shadows to the writing. The important key to this technique is to not flatten the image or you wont be able to use it.

Then i exported the photoshop file as a menu into the encore software.
The next step is to imoport all the photographs you want to use as an asset.

Then applying a timeline decides how long your images will appear for.
You must set the background image you chose to use in photoshop as the first play because it acts like a menu or a home page.
Using the select tool right click on the titles and convert them to buttons this allows you to select different the different pictures.

After converting all the titles to buttons then click onto the flowchart option and by dragging the title to the image you want a blue line will appear and that links the photo to the title so that when you click on that title the image will appear.
When your done linking up all the images to the titles do a check to see if everything links up if not it will pop up saying you havent ended a link and then you need to drag your image for one of the titles back to home page.
After that i decided to burn my slideshow to a disk.

Other ways to present student life images would be to print your images and then mount them onto foam board or dala board, make them into a book or put them onto a powerpoint.
